Celebrating Our Anniversary

We had a nice day celebrating our anniversary with the kids.

We walked around University of South Carolina's campus. It was BEAUTIFUL!

The landscaping was amazing, we couldve spent all day there except is was SOOOO HOT!

The kids were able to cool down in their sprinklers.

We had fun doing not much of anything but playing with each other.

After our walk we headed to lunch then the Edventure Kids Museum.

They had a blast running around and exploring!

After the museum, it was time to go back and freshen up for dinner.

Our 7th Anniversary!

MANNERS MARBLES!

So - this is how it works for all that were asking:

Andrew earns a manners marble anytime he says, Please, Thank You, No Thank You, Excuse Me, or of course anytime he's being really nice to his little sister.

We went shopping at Michael's about 6 weeks ago and he got to pick out his "marbles" that are actually gems, and a tin to hold all those marbles. Once he filled the jar up, he got to go shopping for his "big toy" prize!

It worked really well. We are debating whether or not to keep doing it or try something else.

The boat ride was a little much since we had just taken a carriage ride before.

All in all, they did good! We are going to miss Charleston!

No exciting plans for this weekend ~

We only have a week and a half until Aaron graduates

& we head to Hilton Head for a short vacation with friends!

We will be headed home in 2 weeks! What a wonderful summer!!!!

Pictures in the Park ....Or Not

There's a pretty state park right down the street from our hotel. I woke up thinking I would get the kids in cute matching outfits and take them to the park. My plan was to just kind of follow them around taking pictures while they roam. Well ...... it didn't work out that way. Maybe it's because there was a heat warning today, maybe because they didn't eat much breakfast, or maybe because they both plot against me with my pure joy to capture the perfect picture of them. Whatever the reason, it didn't happen. Andrew had an accident in his matching outfit (which has NEVER happened), Claire didn't want to walk, etc.... We did have fun at the playground even though the back drop I was hoping for was the lake, trees, etc...

These are the only decent shots I managed to get.

Oh well, try again next time!
