Missing Uncle Christopher!

We all got our KY gear on for the game on Saturday.
As soon as we started talking about Kentucky, the kids asked
"Why does uncle Christopher live so far away?"
"Uncle Christopher is coming for a couple weeks at Christmas right?"
"Can we go see Uncle Christopher today?"
They love their Uncle Grizz and are counting down the days til they see him again!!!
I love that the distance between us does not change a darn thing!

Peter Pan & Tinkerbell

So HONESTLY, I had nothing to do with picking costumes this year.
It just happened, all the stars aligned in my favor :)
Let me explain how they came to be :
Andrew and Claire LOVE the show Jake and the Neverland Pirates.
They made a little movie Jake saves Bucky and Peter Pan makes an appearance to help his friends get their boat back. After watching it a couple times Andrew decided he wanted to be Peter Pan! YES! Perfect, Claire could be Tinkerbell!!! The other costumes in the running were Pirates, Bears football player & cheerleader, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Aaron made it home just in time for trick or treating! His schedule worked out and he didn't miss a thing!

Little Max will be running around next year joining in on all the fun!

The kids liked the little Halloween Mystery Bowls of:
Monster hair, witch tongues, monster ears, monster teeth, brains, eyeballs, and witch fingers

The next day I went to school and asked a little girl what she dressed up as for Halloween and she told me a
FEISTY FAIRY! I instantly thought of my little "feisty fairy" at home.
So I am also claiming our little Tinkerbell as a feisty fairy. If you know Claire, it fits her perfectly :)

A Halloween Tradition

The weekend before Halloween is always spent with my Mom and all the kids getting together for pumpkins! This year we headed to Boo at the Zoo instead of a pumpkin patch then went back to Grandmas to carve pumpkins. It's always fun to see how much the cousins love each other despite their major age difference.

Battitude!

Carving Pumpkins

We carved our pumpkins Monday night and had a blast! Traditionally, I gut the pumpkins with the kids and Aaron carves whatever fancy design the kids pick. It was a fun night!

Andrew would not have anything to do with the pumpkin guts. but Claire dug right in!

"Eeeeeeeew!"

Ashley joined in the fun too! Last year we bought a pumpkin gutter that you attach to the drill. Its AWESOME!!!

Watching Daddy prep her pumpkin

Claire is "supervising" to make sure it turns out precisely how she wants it :)

So focused
