Annapolis

There's no way to be bored here! We had such a nice day walking around Annapolis.
Such a beautiful town and we didn't even get to the beautiful side with all the water.
Kids had a blast seeing all the navy stuff everywhere! Looking forward to going back.

Our little crabs :)

Our first trip to D.C.

Kids had their first trip down to D.C.and to see the White House.
They were not impressed at all (however, it was really hot).
They did enjoy the memorials and Andrew has been very interested in the military since we visited.

A nice breezy break on the steps at the Lincoln Memorial

Ugh! It was so hot even Grandma had to take a break...
on the ground....
in a ditch :/

Our new love- RITA'S!!!
The most a.m.a.z.i.n.g. italian ice!

The BIG MOVE!

We moved into our house August 3rd! Since then we have had 21 days together! 21 days of no work, and all play! The kids have gotten even closer and have enjoyed the freedom to play this summer.   This week was a SLAP back into reality with Aaron going back to work and the kids starting school. I will be finishing getting the house back together and unpacked. The transition has gone smoothly so far and we are praying that everything continues to fall into place at work and school.

We were able to take a few days here and there to stop unpacking and have some fun!
We made a quick tour down to Solomon's Island
to show Grandma and Grandpa Glass around the area.

 S'mores anyone????

BACK TO SCHOOL!

Kids started school last Tuesday and they really have transitioned smoothly. We are so proud of both of them with this big move! Andrew is a little quieter than usual, but he has made some friends in the neighborhood and is starting to act more like himself. Claire has really come out of her shell really since June. She is more social than usual which is so great to watch since new people and change have always been difficult for her.

They took off for that bus without giving me a hug or kiss! I pouted around all day :( I listened to their voice memos on my phone and just smiled as I listened to their sweet little raspy voices and giggles down to their toes. We agreed on hugs and kisses before the bus comes in the morning for the future.

The Goodbye Tour

This was our last week in IL.
We've had a rough week saying goodbye to friends and family.
Such a very bittersweet feeling.
Hoping to see you all on the East Coast - you are welcome anytime!!!!
